Appalachian Winds

from Mumblings from a Bedroom by The Trashcans

/

lyrics

Time, time
It blows like a breeze
Hits you in the face, yet you initially don’t take notice

And then it all begins to squeeze
And then you realize all of this
Can’t be summed up by any metaphor or musing

Can’t even identify what I miss
No idea what was so pleasing
These ideas taken away like dust blown by wind

Sorry for these years of empty contemplation
I’m not prepared for what lies ahead
Stuttering words that try to connect it all

You and I are one in the same
Are we ever going to grow out of this daze of
Beautiful distractions near Appalachia
